ECK project

The third-year final project of Electrical Engineering. Topics that fit the lab:

Power electronics and converters

DC-DC and DC-AC converters: efficiency, control and thermal design.

DC microgrids and smart grids

Solar, batteries and load management: stability, droop control and energy management.

Motor control and drives

FOC, BLDC and PMSM control on embedded platforms, tested on real motors.

Simulation and modelling

Models in PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink or Python, checked against lab measurements.

MSH minor new

Students from different programmes build one system together.

Students from eleven disciplines around the MSH TukTuk, a solar-powered mobile kitchen, each with the questions their discipline asks.
The MSH hub: an event hub and a social hub around the TukTuk, surrounded by future systems such as a smart building, an energy hub and smart mobility.
