For companies
Bring your project to ECK
Third-year Electrical Engineering students take on your technical question.
- What
- ECK, the third-year final project of Electrical Engineering
- Who
- Students of The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Delft
- Starts
- Second semester
- Coordinator
- Diëgo Zuidervliet, DC Power Laboratory
- Send to
- info@dc-power-lab.com
What makes a good ECK project
- A real technical question from your company
- A clear electrical engineering core: power electronics, embedded systems, measurement and control, or energy systems
- A concrete result: a prototype, a measurement setup, a design, a simulation or advice
- A contact person at your company with time for the students
- A scope that fits one semester

We talk it through
The coordinator contacts you to shape the project with you.
Students start
The project starts in the second semester.
Topics that fit the lab
Examples from the research of the DC Power Laboratory.
Power electronics and converters
DC-DC and DC-AC converters: efficiency, control and thermal design.
DC microgrids and smart grids
Solar, batteries and load management: stability, droop control and energy management.
Motor control and drives
FOC, BLDC and PMSM control on embedded platforms, tested on real motors.
Simulation and modelling
Models in PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink or Python, checked against lab measurements.
